In Celebration of a Decade Well Lived.

In Celebration of a Decade Well Lived.

Today is the eve of my 40th birthday. A final farewell to the decade of my 30’s and I’m in an incredibly reflective mood, for this has been my time of incredible awakening, deep faith, and trust. The decade of uncovering, reclaiming, and recreating, over and over again. And choosing a path that is my own to follow. I believe it’s important to tell the stories and share the moments of our lives, as the more we tell them, the more the medicine lives. For ourselves and each other. In these moments, we remember who we are at our core and who we’re capable of being in time to come. Each retelling is a call to step up and step in, to life. An invitation for more extraordinary experiences. An invitation for the doors to open. The moment where wonder and willingness meet. In celebration of the decade of my thirties, here are the moments that have been the most transformative, the pinnacle of experience born from continuous showing up for and to self, and the one’s I’m most proud of – because I’ve stripped back layers, and developed courage, in order to experience them.   In celebration of my 30’s, the decade of… // Discovering my essence and unapologetically becoming who I am. I continue to do this by devoting myself to becoming ‘unconditioned’. I’m relentless when it comes to emotional and spiritual freedom, and this has become the way of life. The more I let go, the more space my soul vibration has to inhabit, within my body and my being. // Moving through and letting go of the ideas and ideals of what being a woman meant, that did not apply to me. There were a lot of deeply engrained ancestral stories and cultural ideals that I had been defined by, that simply no longer apply. Feeling deep in my bones I am not defined by being in a beloved relationship, or the roles that I hold for others, or the expression of my work. It’s all a choice. This incredible freedom has meant I’ve learned to dance to my own rhythm of creation. // Saying goodbye to so much and so many, whom I loved, yet simply was not meant for me. These choices led me down the path of the underworld initiation of Loneliness; until one day I’d fallen into deep union and love with self, and contentment was born. Life has never been lonely since, and my connection to the natural world is a constant. // Discovering my medicine woman self, after many initiations to enliven and awaken her. Holy moly, the work. Holy moly, the delight. // Stretching and strengthen my travellers legs: in this world and the other world. //Humbling into my heart, which required meeting my shadow self, ego death and dissolution of personal myths. A journey that continues, each time birthing more heart, more richness and more intimacy with life. // Learning to fly and fall, and the value in both. // Birthing Shamanic Kinesiology, Alchemy Codes, Resurrection Womb Blessing Ceremonies & Circles, and created the course that supports the transmission of the 9 Rites of the Munay-Ki. // Shamanic Awakening. Two of my most life changing and memorable experiences were; laying facedown in the mud, breathing deeply into...

Coca, Kintu’s & Heart Potions

Coca, Kintu’s & Heart Potions

In August of 2018, I spent a week in medicine circle, deepening into Andean Wisdom, learning from a Q’ero elder. It was the last week of my (almost) four month journey in Peru. I began in Lima and travelled South to the Sacred Valley, with a short stint in the Amazon Jungle. One of the first things we were told was: People come here to learn the way of the heart. These words rang true as the heart vibration of the people of Peru is unlike anything I’d experienced before, the transmissions and medicine of the Munay-Ki even more so (because it’s free of human distortion). It was here in this medicine circle that I learned more about Kintu’s.   Kintu’s are created with Coca leaves. Coca (pictured above on the coca cloth) is a sacred plant medicine that is at the centre of many rituals for the Q’ero people – an unbroken lineage of Wisdom Keepers, rainbow bridges of Truth across all of the traditions. Coca is a communication and prayer plant that helps facilitate heartfelt conversation and connection amoungst people. Her medicine opens up the ability to perceive the beings and spirits of the natural world, and we breathe as one. I also know her to be a creation plant that helps to open channels of creative thought, imagination, ideas and dreaming, that aligns with ones unique heart vibration and soul alchemy.   Kintu’s Kintu’s are created by choosing three of your best Coca leaves, in pristine condition. Wishes, prayers, and intent are then whispered upon the breath (life force essence) as medicine into the leaves (programming the water contained within). The Kintu created with pure heartfelt intent is then gifted to another being with the intention of love, healing and heart medicine. The leaves are received with an open heart, and then chewed to ingest the medicine of Coca and the intended prayers and wishes. This combination of medicine is absorbed into the saliva and bloodstream to awaken heart frequency and support love based healing. Over the course of the week, creating Kintu’s for others became my medicine. I would create them over and over again, and gift them to those I felt would benefit whilst they were healing inner wounds, sharing stories and awakening. Gifting Kintu’s became liberating: a way to effortlessly love and support, without the weight of responsibility I’d often felt. Love had always been tangled with obligation & expectation, and I’d often become a crutch for another. By the end of the week, Coca and I had solidified our Allyship and I’d become a Kintu Fairy, my heart entirely filled with love. I’d not experienced anything like it before, nor since, until recently I discovered Heart Potions.     Heart Potions Heart Potions are words that resonate at a particular frequency. This serves to boost ones heart vibration and maintain coherent heart waves. This is essential for maintaining and growing your heart vibration and continuing to flow in life, with the medicine and magic of high vibrational living. I’ve been experimenting with Heart Potions over the past couple of months. In the initial days, there was a very subtle shift in frequency. Barely noticeable, yet still there. I decided to continue on. What would happen if I continued to dowse and download...

Rough days can always end on a high note.

Rough days can always end on a high note.

During deep healing, release, and birthing yourself anew, there will be days that feel emotionally and mentally intense, overwhelming, exhausting, challenging… or all combined. Particularly when your body is doing the deep work of purging trauma and pain, and unravelling from paradigms that no longer serves and supports. It can feel like sensory overload and hyper awareness. On these days, remember there is always something you can do to end it on a higher note of nourishment. Something simple like; a nutrient rich meal smelling roses taking a bath listening to soothing music laying back upon Mother Earth a conversation with someone who loves you deeply making art with your hands holding your heart breathing into your body whispering messages of love to all parts of you –  particularly when it feels difficult to do so. If you’ve had a day where you’ve felt unproductive; do something simple that aligns with your dreams, intentions, and goals. The part of you that feels nourished by purpose will feel tended to as well.   This approach does four main things Restores the energy you’ve burned throughout the day. Healing always requires an increased amount of energy; physically, emotionally, and mentally. Brings a soothing balm to the raw wildness and white noise of emotion, and release of trauma and tension in your body. Softens the ride. With self-loving nourishment, your inner one feels cared for and safe to rest. This feeling allows a more soothing sleep state where dreaming can flow, and some of the processing can happen more easily in the sleep space. Pauses the healing vortex long enough to allow empowered choice and clear perspective. Sometimes healing can turn into unconscious sabotage or victim loops, where you end up sitting in your stuff for longer than is required for healthy healing (e.g. wallowing or identifying too strongly with what’s emerging). Choosing a kind loving approach, creating space for your body to naturally do her thing, allowing consciousness by observing, all helps to move through in these moments. The simplest tip of all: Remind yourself that this is all a part of this evolutionary ride of life. // If you’d like my support as you travel this ride of life, it will be my pleasure to work together. 1:1 sessions can be booked here And enrolment into Soothe Your Inner One can be done here. Much love and soul wellness, Melissa...

As we awaken… A year and life in review.

As we awaken… A year and life in review.

As this year of precise clarity (2020) comes to completion… What did you notice? What did you witness? What veils of illusion have fallen? What false truths have you met? Who did you become? Who are you becoming? Where are you course correcting? Where are you strengthening authentic inner alignment? Where are you enacting self-responsibility and sovereign discernment? What are you willing to let go of? What have you released? What are you allowing to emerge and birth through you? What is your relationship to your personal power and life force energy? Where do you stand in the life you’ve cultivated and created, at this moment, as you read these words? And finally… what are you celebrating? A year and a life in review, a life valued and lived by the beat of the sovereign heart, deserves moments of honest introspection to consider these questions; each one inviting honest conversation, a call upon internal heartfelt Truth. These are some of the questions I’ve asked myself throughout this year, as I’ve navigated sacred communion with self whilst in a relatively new relationship with another, and all that’s come with the amplified circumstances throughout the year. The next level of personal self-mastery, each day a medicine walk along internal pathways, filled with curious choice-points to move beyond my edges to create new life; within and reflected without. The main question that I’ve been leaning into is this one: When all core aspects of life are held within the same container (of home, and ultimately self) how do I remain sovereign, empowered, and clear?  As we all continue along this journey of awakening, transformation, expansion, and change; as each of us calls our personal power back from outdated paradigms reliant on co-dependence and enmeshment, and develops internal sustainable power sources, I believe this is the question to lean into. The ultimate growth point on the path to personal freedom. From what I’ve discovered so far, the journey of recovering personal power is a path well worth travelling… and returning to, time and time again. Simple Grounding Practices to Keep You Nourished.

Simple Grounding Practices to Keep You Nourished.

For those who feel shaky and uncertain. For those building strength. To support nourishment. 1. Go slowly. Move with the natural rhythm and pace that flows through you. 2. Breathe. Full inhale, free exhale. Repeat. Allow your breath to breathe your body for healing and release. 3. Hand on your Heart Chakra. The other on the floor below you. Connect with Mother Earth. 4. Sit on the ground, instead of chairs. The closer to her vibration you are, the more ease-fully your base chakra will attune to her loving vibration. 5. Honest inner dialogue. Connecting with Truth with help you know what support you need at this time. 6. Cleansing Baths. With salts, oils and supportive loving plants. My favourites are rosemary, rose, basil, lemon and kaffir lime + olive oil. 7. Sun bathing. Just enough to feel powered up by the radiant heat, and receive transformational healing. No sun? Close your eyes, move through the clouds and imagine… Much love and soul wellness, Melissa x Let’s work together beautiful heart. Worlds Upon Worlds Upon Worlds… How Shamanic Kinesiology Came to be.

Worlds Upon Worlds Upon Worlds… How Shamanic Kinesiology Came to be.

Inspired by a beautiful client, I’ve brought back the 30 min 1:1 Shamanic Kinesiology Session. These sessions are available on-line via Zoom only. 60 min + 90 min sessions are available both on-line + in person (Elwood, VIC location). And now…   The Story of How Shamanic Kinesiology Came To Be. My personal practice of Shamanic Kinesiology emerged in 2015, after initiations received in various parts of Mexico, which would serve as a catalyst for incredible awakening. In hindsight, these initiations awakened seeds first planted in 2007. This was when, during my first solo walk into the unknown and the void of infinite potential, I brought to completion my life in Melbourne, and journeyed to the land of Vancouver, Canada – a place I knew very little about. Here I followed the path, and went on to live in North Vancouver (amongst lush forests and rivers) and worked on a little mountain known as Grouse Mountain. Here I worked part-time in the Education Department, whilst the other days were spent in the Base Department, where (amongst other things) I learned how to drive cable cars/trams up and down the mountain. During the Winter months I would share responsibility of taking school groups up to the top of the mountain. There we would snow-shoe through the forest, and I would share what I had learned about the ecology, flora and fauna of the area. This was a rich time of learning through knowledge and experience, and then passing it on. The highlight for me during these times was always completing the school group journey at the First Nations Hut. Inside, an Elder would teach those that gathered about indigenous wisdom. He would tell stories and we would ‘dance the guardians’ of the Four Directions. I would often sit and listen to the stories and worlds upon worlds began opening up. On this mountain, I had up close and personal relationships with many of the animals that have continued to teach me in spirit: Wolf, Bear, Hummingbird, Deer… Upon returning from this adventure, I enrolled to study Holistic Kinesiology, and life has never looked or felt the same since. Fast forward many years later, and this work of Shamanic Kinesiology was always ‘meant to be’. I was just taking my time with it, learning and being activated by life. Once the internal doors fully awakened and opened in Mexico, coupled with my prior 6 years experience as a Holistic Kinesiologist, the practice of Shamanic Kinesiology was born… with the name emerging through a conversation with Yvette from Natural Forces. Shamanic Kinesiology sessions enable you to in body journey, so you’re able to access your own wisdom though the powerful portal that is your body. At the same time, old patterns, templates for life, belief systems, emotions + more, are released according to what is required for you to become your most aligned, fully empowered, high vibrational self. One of the greatest strengths we have is adaptability.

One of the greatest strengths we have is adaptability.

One of the greatest strengths we have as human beings is adaptability. This strength allows each of us to innovate, evolve, grow, refine and simplify. As we adapt, we experience ourselves from a clearer place, and show up in life through action to do life differently, in more aligned ways. To know what is aligned, we must know what we value. The clearer we (as individuals) become on this point, the more empowered each life becomes. We become effectors of conscious change, and make the most of the wave that is rolling through. We choose to meet what is arising, in the present moment. As each individual life becomes more empowered, so does the collective human community. As the old falls away, the new births into life. This is a glimpse into the power of adaptability.  During these times of heightened change, harness this power you innately have. Choose consciously how you will adapt now, as you create new life. Remember, we were all made for these times. And you are the one you’ve been waiting for. Will you rise? How will you effect these times? How will you embrace change on a personal level? Professionally, I’m feeling a deepened call to share more in my workspace, which I’ll do here on this platform, and within on-line programs. Personally, now is the time to create a more self-sufficient home, and deepen into the wisdom of ancestral recipes for life. As I deepen, I grow more respectful of this present moment in time, and of the creation and birthing this moment affords. Much love, Melissa x If you’re feeling called… let’s work together beautiful heart. For a full list of 1:1 services (available on-line and in person) + booking options, click...

Prayer + Understanding… All Elements Work Together.

Prayer + Understanding… All Elements Work Together.

All indigenous cultures have wheels depicting the cycle of life. These wheels are maps to our inner elements, and the elements that exist in our environment. The Creation Cycle is from Traditional Chinese Medicine and follows; Fire feeds Earth, Earth feeds Metal (and minerals), Metal feeds Water, Water feeds Wood, Wood feeds Fire… And so the Creation Cycle continues, with Air/Ether and Spirit presiding over all. This becomes a map for the dance of the elements, within and without. When there is an imbalance (particularly an extreme one) the Destruction cycle kicks in with elements coming in to block and course correct the element in it’s extreme. This happens within our bodies, our inner environment, and in the external environment of the natural world. Water comes in to dowse and counteract Fire…though what happens when Water is in the extreme? Another pattern of imbalance manifests… All elements moving in harmony, working together in union, is ultimately the way of creation and will shift the current reality many of us are experiencing. I believe we all have a personal responsibility to contribute to this new reality and a personal responsibility to wake up and respond to what has been created. As we send out prayers to the Natural Elements + Great Spirit/Universe (insert preferred word here) to restore and heal Mother Earth + All Life that exists, hold the intention of harmony, unity, peace and love. The energy that fuels your prayers matters greatly. The smoke that is billowing up and across much of the land, amplifies and carries your prayers, intention/focused attention and energy.   For those outside of devastation zones… If you feel you’re surrogating collective worry, grief, pain, anger and suffering, come back to your personal vibration. Ask; is this all mine? You’ll feel your vibration shift and clear if you’re surrogating. Choose to hold the vibration of support, compassion and love, and do what you can from a place of care. You’ll feel more empowered (and we become more empowered as a collective) as a result. You’ll be able to help in more powerful ways that align with your spirit too, because we all have different jobs to do. Jumping into the collective pit and surrogating pain (consciously or otherwise), keeps the vibration of suffering in place, and I believe we need a collective alternate vibration right now. This is the way forward. Much love and soul wellness, Melissa...

In the Stillness, I Am Power, I Am Light – An Alchemy Code Journey

Posted by on 9:45 am in truth | 0 comments

In the Stillness, I Am Power, I Am Light – An Alchemy Code Journey

“In the Stillness, I Am Power I Am light…” In 2017, I drew the above Alchemy Code. It’s a personal one, that has moved with me from place to place to place. After resting in hibernation for a time, she now lives on the wall close to where I work, where I write, where I create, and where I organise my life. In her vibration, she calls me deeper into my heart, where the truth of all-that-is resides. When I feel I am slipping out of my centre, her reflection reminds me where that is and invites me back. When I breathe, I feel her breathe. In the transmission of her vibration, she echo’s reminders of Truth and calls to Love. Much of my journey last year was discovering Pure True Love. Living through the shadow and meeting the distortions, to get to the Truth. This year has been one of Union; of coming into myself and the Truth of Who I Am. A time of learning to hold this vibration, despite external forces. It has been yet another call into deeper Devotion, Sovereignty, and Value-of-Self, all the while, bringing in the vibration of Pure True Love. This journey has not been graceful. In the learning phases, it rarely is. I’ve found myself flipping between the old and the new – the vibration I’d experienced though hadn’t yet fully embodied, and the space where old patterns rose up for air, to be resolved and dissolved. This is a journey that will continue to unfold as more and more conditioning falls away, and more and more of my spirit is alive and visible. What served me each time, throughout the messiness of it all, was the ability to come back to myself and to my centre. To my breath, to my inner-wise one, so I could navigate life with spirit wisdom. After all, this is the essence of Soul Wellness. The ability to go within, then move out into life embodying more of the elixir your soul. Each time, going in, coming out, tuning into the rhythm of the dance of your life… A few weeks ago, it was time to begin working with this code that I have up on my wall. Back when I was drawing her, her message and work was clear… In the stillness, I am power, I am light… At the time, I knew the message was a powerful and profound one, though I did not value it to the degree that I now do. In the stillness, in our individual stillness, we are all powerful, and we are all able to access our light. Which we are then able to express into our lives. The more we go into our stillness, connect with our individual spark of light, and action that light in our lives through being, the more powerful we become. To those that feel confronted by self-sourced power (for this is what we are speaking about), this is part of the initiation – to move beyond the place of feeling confronted by personal or others self-sourced power. It’s part of the work to allow the shedding of feeling confronted, of clearing the old belief system that power is a finite commodity that some have access to and others don’t… and create more...

“It doesn’t matter when you open your eyes, as long as you do.”

Posted by on 11:51 am in truth | 0 comments

“It doesn’t matter when you open your eyes, as long as you do.”

Yesterday, my mumma and I were having a conversation on the phone. She asked; “how did you go with…” I replied; “mmm, really good… I’m proud of myself. There’s no longer any part of me that wants to let things slide any more.” I was especially proud because there was no effort or force or trying to convince the other when I halted the slide. I knew the power of my words for me, and this made it enough. It reflected back to me the true healing that’s unfolded, because whilst I want what I do, I don’t need it anymore. There is no gripping or fear of losing what is, so I’m able to be honest. And things can evolve within the space of True love and truth. Mum and I kept chatting, and ventured into areas of self-value and self-worth. Which led to a conversation about self-betrayal, and how it’s not an option anymore. Gone are the days of trading self and accepting little. At one point she said… “It’s only taken me (x) years to learn that.” I could hear the vibration of true knowing in her words. If you listen closely, you can always hear the voice that reflects lived experience. It’s different to the voice that speaks words of new consciousness or awareness. It’s the voice that has walked the path. There’s an honesty, a sense of knowing, a depth available to the voice that speaks as a reflection of experience. I replied, “Yeah, though we know it now.” And she replied “That’s right love. It doesn’t matter when you open your eyes, as long as you do.” These conversations with her are a rare and new experience. In our ability to hear and meet one another, our conversations become sacred treasures that hold a very specific vibration of medicine. I come from a family that is women strong. I’m the youngest daughter. I have two sisters. And I’m an aunty to three girls. We’ve come from generations of women who have suffered tremendously as a result of a lack of self-value and worth. And we’re learning to be better for ourselves and the next generation we’re raising. These new conversations are a part of this. We’re becoming women strong, not just individually and in presence, though collectively. Before this, we’ve been unable to hear one another because we didn’t want to, didn’t know how to, and it felt too difficult and painful. Some things still are, and this is also ok. Or we’ve been more invested in being right and validated – rather than hearing and loving one another. Or the pain story was so infused with our identity that it served as the motivation for empowerment and strength. Intellect had become confused for wisdom. I’ve learned that in the end, for new life to be created, that details of the stories of the past don’t really matter in the way we think they do. Willingness to let go and transform really is a super-power of the heart. And so, it doesn’t matter when your eyes open, or when your heart opens as a result, as long as they do… One of my favourite personal prayers is this: May I continue to see clearly.  May I know my own heart. These words have...
